Not your average restored KX420.
This is a 1980 KX with Kawasaki's very rare, over the counter big bore rod / crank kit making a full 450cc. This kit was only offered for a few years and this is an NOS kit that was sourced and installed.
Engine has been re-machined to accept larger crank, along with brand new nicasiled cylinder and piston kit at std. bore. ALL new seals, internals, gears, crank, rod, piston, bearings, etc. etc. installed inside this motor. This is basically a brand new 1980 KX450cc engine now.
ALL HARD PARTS USED WERE NOS OEM VINTAGE KAWASAKI -- nothing aftermarket.
ABOUT THIS BIKE: Unusual color scheme--looks great. Suspension was rebuilt. Original pipe with a couple of very small dings and repairs. New Nightmare-Racing plastic. New seat cover over excellent base and foam. Excellent aluminum bars, new controls, new grips, new cables and throttle, new tires, new fork boots, new air filter, new chain, new wheel bearings, new brakes, new steering stem bearings, etc. etc. ALL HARD PARTS USED WERE

This bike has had it's Uni-Trak linkage suspension completely overhauled with all new NOS Kawasaki OEM parts, including shock work, fork work, etc.
